Sew Hungry

Yesterday I joined a couple of my super awesome neighbours for a street dinner adventure. Sew Hungry is a bi-annual gathering of the most awesome food trucks on the planet! It takes place right here in Hamilton, right up the street from me. The line ups are long, the street is packed and the food is simply delicious. Ottawa St. is home to a huge selection of fabric & sewing supply stores, hence the name of this food truck extravaganza... Sew Hungry!

super cute dolly photo shoot!

This weekend the dollies had a super fun photo shoot. These little girlies are so ridiculously adorable. I especially love the matching fur vests. You can see all of the photos on facebook.

Lulu & Lola

I was inspired to make these tiny gals after re-watching Big Fish. I adore that movie. It makes me cry practically from the beginning in anticipation of the crying I'll do as events actually unfold. Crazy, I know. I think I just love Tim Burton movies in general. Even the bad ones.

Henry the zombie boy.

This is Henry. Henry used to like playing street hockey and watching Dr. Who. Now he mostly likes eating brains! His outfit belonged to my boyfriend. It was pretty destroyed so I stole it and turned it into teeny tiny zombie clothes!

shiny new banner

I was so happy when I checked the mail after work and discovered that my fabric had arrived from Spoonflower. I've been doing craft shows for about a year now, and figured it's high time I jazzed up my table with a banner. I contemplated many options but finally decided that fabric would be the most appropriate. It turned out great! I'll take some better pictures at my shows this weekend.

p.s. Take a peek at the "upcoming shows" page for all the info on where you can find me in real life!
